Question: How much does it cost to host a Roy Harris seminar?

Answer: A one day seminar costs $2500, plus the cost of airfare, hotel and food. A two day seminar costs $4000, plus the cost of airfare, hotel and food. A week-long seminar costs $7500, plus the cost of airfare, hotel and food.

 

Question: As the seminar host, what am I responsible for?

Answer: As the seminar host, you would be responsible for the following:

1. A $500, non-refundable, deposit. This deposit must be paid by check or money order at least six weeks in advance of the seminar date. This is to confirm your reservation and to make sure Mr. Harris can get the lowest airfares available for travel to your city, state, or country.

2. Advertising for the seminar, signing people up and collecting the fees.

3. Reservations made at a decent hotel in your area. I no longer stay in seminar host’s homes. Too many bad experiences.

4. Making sure Mr. Harris is picked up from the airport upon arrival, and that he is dropped off at the airport “early” on his date of return.

5. Making sure Mr. Harris is fed properly. I know this sounds so simple, but I can’t tell you how many times a seminar host has gotten busy talking with participants, and doing their own thing during the seminar, that my meals (breakfast and lunch) have been forgotten. Once, I remember asking the seminar host, “I know you are busy, but can we grab something to eat before I have to teach my private lessons? I haven’t eaten all day.” It was now 4pm, the seminar was over and I had two private lessons at 5pm and 6pm.

6. Making sure we have a training location for the seminar. This also sounds simple, but I’ve had a couple of experiences where the seminar host “forgot” to confirm the seminar location and we ended up having to move the seminar to another location on the fly. It made for a very interesting morning!

 

Question: Who gets to pick the seminar topic?

Answer: The seminar host gets to pick the topic.

 

Question: How long are the training sessions for the seminar?

Answer: They are between two and three hours.

 

Question: Does the seminar host receive anything special for hosting a Roy Harris seminar?

Answer: Yes. If a one day seminar is hosted, the seminar host gets a 40 minute private lesson free of charge. If a two day seminar is hosted, the seminar host gets a free 90 minute private lesson.

 

Question: Do you offer any discounts on seminars?

Answer: Yes, I offer two discounts:

Discount #1 – If you sign up to host a Roy Harris seminar once a year for the next five years, you get a substantial discount on the seminars.

Discount #2 – If you pay for a Roy Harris seminar three months in advance of the date, and don’t cancel or postpone the seminar date, you’ll receive a 20% discount on the seminar fee.
